วิศวศึกษากับการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรกลุ่มวิชาศึกษาทั่วไปกลุ่มพิเศษและหลักสูตรคณะ

Abstract

ตั้งแต่ปีการศึกษา 2539 การจัดวิชาในหมวดการศึกษาทั่วไปในระดับปริญญาตรี จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยได้กำหนดให้เรียนวิชาในหมวดการศึกษาทั่วไปอย่างน้อย 30 หน่วยกิต [1] ในจำนวนนี้จะต้องเป็นรายวิชาที่คัดสรรโดยสำนักงานจัดการศึกษาทั่วไปตามที่ระบุไว้ในเอกสารหลักสูตรและรายวิชาการศึกษาทั่วไป ฉบับที่ทันสมัยที่สุดอย่างน้อย 18 หน่วยกิต (ตารางที่ 1 การจัดรายวิชาการศึกษาทั่วไป) และรายวิชาที่แต่ละคณะของนิสิตจัดให้เป็นวิชาศึกษาทั่วไปอีกจำนวนหนึ่ง ซึ่งเมื่อรวมกันแล้วต้องไม่น้อยกว่า 30 หน่วยกิต จึงจะถือว่าเรียนครบหลักสูตรปริญญาตรี ตามเกณฑ์ของทบวงมหาวิทยาลัย

As a result of the announcement of Curriculum Standard for Higher Education (2005) and Curriculum Standard for Higher Education Administation Policy (2005),

the academic committee of Chulalongkorn University has set a standard requirement to study at least 3 units in each of the Humanities, Social Studies, Science and Mathematics, and Interdisciplinary Studies groups, totalling at least 12 units, as well as at least 12 units in the Foreign Languages group. The remaining 6 units have been approved to be allocated to special General Education, which requires students to study 6 more units of English and 6 units of special General Education subjects, resulting in an extra 12 units to study.

In order to prevent engineering students from bearing too much educational burden, a plan for updating the special General Education curriculum is required, to follow the standard basis and to maintain the subject arrangment within the curriculum and number of units, while improving the curriculum's conciseness and retaining its academic intensity.
